Noor Jehan is steeped in the history and culture of Palakkad. The idea of Noor Jehan group took birth in 1950, in the mind of Mr. P.C Hameed, with a desire to provide wholesome food and service to the people of Palakkad. What began as a small and homely outlet on G.B Road was taken over by his son Mr. P.C Hamsa, who breathed life and passion into this project. The present success of Noor Jehan Group, encompassing several hotels across Kerala, and a flourishing catering business, is a testament to his fire and drive.
The success of the first outlet at G.B road, with its authentic Malabari cuisine and ambience was followed by the opening of Noor Jehan Fort View, walking distance from the iconic Tipu's Fort. Ever since its opening, the delicious food and unmatched service has kept people flocking to it till date!
Noor Jehan Group also recognized the need to expand its portfolio to different cuisines, with the opening of Noor Jehan's Open Grill. With a diverse menu, drawing inspiration from cuisines as diverse as Italian and Middle Eastern, coupled with rustic specialties, Open Grill has carved a niche for itself in the culinary circle of Palakkad. We have received rave reviews from foodies in Palakkad who often complained of the lack of a classy eatery in their own hometown!
The past year also saw us make our first foray into hospitality, with Grand Noor, a premium boutique hotel in Palakkad. We also opened our cafe, Cup of Tea in Cochin International Airport, with a view to refreshing weary travellers with the Noor Jehan experience!
Noor Jehan Catering Services was the brainchild of Mr. Abdul Rashid and Mr. Mohammed Rafeeque, sons of Mr. Hamsa. Over the past 20 years, they have overseen the transition of Noor Jehan Catering Services from a fledgeling start-up to a reputed firm, handling events of all magnitudes all over Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
